Female Students in Paragon Lecture Hall

Legacy

Click the options below to find all the ways you can help support our students at The University of West London.

An easy way to help UWL is by leaving us a part of what is left of your estate once you have looked after your family and loved ones. This means you don’t have to choose a specific amount and it will not affect what you leave to others.

Choosing this means you pick exactly what amount you would like to benefit UWL. Of course the value of a specific amount can change over time with inflation and you might need to think about updating your Will occasionally to reflect current circumstances.

You may wish to leave something that can be sold to help students and UWL such as a house or an item of value.

You can leave a gift to support your loved ones, but which will benefit UWL when your loved ones pass on.

"When you have spent most of your life being paid for doing what you would have done as a hobby, then it's a wonderful feeling to give something back to an organisation that is helping many others to achieve their goals."

Chaz Hart, Guitarist and former UWL Staff member

However you choose to support UWL, you may want to discuss your wishes with your family, and your solicitor will be able to help you make up your Will in a way that makes your decisions clear. There are also many organisations that will help you to make a Will and can advise on the best way to leave money to UWL and your favourite causes.

Depending on the size of your legacy, you may wish to specify what area you would like to support, such as student welfare or scholarships, or UWL research.

Please get in touch with the development team if you would like to talk to someone about supporting UWL in your Will. We would also love to hear from you if you have already decided to leave a gift.
