A Recipient of The William Brake Scholarships, for the Academic Year 2022-23

When you work hard for everything you have and for this to be recognised by receiving a scholarship award, it is an absolute honour.

As of academic year 2022-2023, there are four William Brake Scholarships available to four students applying to study at The London Geller College of Hospitality & Tourism and are worth £5000 each. These awards provide a substantial boost to the LGCHT students and it's all thanks to our donors. Students at UWL have big ambitions, which these scholarships can help make possible.

Auntie Em’s kitchen, my start-up, has big plans for 2023, which will all be made possible by the help of this Scholarship. I would like Auntie Em’s to be a not-for-profit company based in the heart of the community where people can have access to hot food. It will be an educational space where I will teach those who need to eat, how to cook and provide a safe space for them to learn, this includes teaching young carers how to make home-cooked meals for the people they care for.

Emily has also recorded a video to say thank you to her donor.
