UWL Alumni Evening: In Conversation with Jung Chang

Jung 2In 1978, bestselling author Jung Chang walked into a pub opposite the University of West London’s campus. It’s something many students have done over the years, but for Jung, who had grown up under the strict control of Chairman Mao’s communist regime, it was a chance to experience a completely different world to the one she knew.

On Tuesday 3 September at 18:00, we’re welcoming Jung back to our Ealing campus to share her experiences in an insightful conversation with UWL's Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Peter John CBE. Their conversation will cover everything from Jung’s incredible story (as detailed in her memoir Wild Swans) to the value and future of education.

In addition to the lecture, we will also be hosting a drinks reception in our newly refurbished shared working space, The Haven, and awarding this year’s Alumni Award winners in a short ceremony. This is a wonderful opportunity to return to campus and celebrate the many achievements of our alumni community.

Tickets cost just £10 (£5 for Recent Grads and Students) and can be purchased using the form below:
