UWL Alumni Engage 2021: Kurt Martinez
UWL’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations is proud to present Alumni Engage 2021: A series of inspiring virtual talks by members of the UWL alumni community. Over the next few months, alumni from a range of fields and industries will take part in talks with key members of the UWL faculty. Join us to hear insights, reflections and advice from alumni at the very top of their game.
Kurt Martinez is a freelance Music engineer. After graduating from the University of West London, Kurt pursued a Masters Degree in Music Production. He then moved to London and quickly found work in Post-Production for TV & Film. He is now a freelancer, working from a number of studios across London including Sarm Studios, Metropolis Studios, Blue Box Studios, Miloco and Timber Street.
Kurt engineered the single ‘Rain’ by Aitch and AJ Tracey which reached Number 3 in The Official UK Top 40 and BRIT Certified Gold, and has worked with other major label artists including Burna Boy, Fleur East, Tokio Myers, Ina Wroldsen, Alice Chater, Hamzaa, Au/Ra, Yxng Bane and comedian Jack Whitehall.
Kurt will be sitting down with Dr Liz Pipe Academic Quality and Partnerships Lead, London College of Music , for an in-conversation event, taking place over Zoom on Wednesday 14th July 2021 at 19:00.
The event will be equipped with a Q&A function, where you can submit any questions you have for Kurt.
