Family Business Conference

We warmly invite you to join us for an exciting conference featuring some of the most dynamic business founders and executives, leading a discussion on issues that are important to the continued success and growth of Asian family businesses.

Asian family-owned businesses have long played a major role in economic development. In Asia and the Pacific region, family businesses generate over 730 billion US Dollars in revenues and employ over 3 million people (Ernst & Young). In Britain, Asian family businesses, contribute over £200 billion to the economy, and in the capital employ close to 210,000 people (Mayor of London’s Office). While there is general consensus that Asian family businesses are significantly important to the economy and society, discussion of issues relevant to these businesses is rather limited in the mainstream management literature.

This ground-breaking conference brings together successful and renowned founders, leaders and executives of Asian family businesses who have been specially selected for their insight and knowledge. The discussion, while acknowledging the past and present success, will focus on the future of Asian family businesses. The conference will mark the launch of several research, academic and professional initiatives on Asian family business, which all participants will be invited to join.

This conference is aimed at senior family executives, the next generation who are working in the business, or other family members who are planning to; and anyone with an interest in the subject.
