About Us

The origins of the University of West London date back to 1860 when Lady Byron established an educational institution which focused on the use of modern approaches to learning. Today, her inclusive ethos and ground-breaking approach to teaching continues to inspire us as London’s number one modern university. We provide a high quality, career focused education to over 11,780 students in programmes directly linked to key sectors that impact the growth of our nation. 94% of our graduates are in employment within six months of graduating.

The recent reorganisation of the University’s estate and structures has afforded us the financial stability so vital to our advancement. We are now in the top quartile for the sector for financial performance, while our borrowing is amongst the lowest in the UK.

Our vision is to have three areas of international standing by 2018: hospitality, business and creative arts, and to have the highest graduate employment rate in the UK.
